We made a new door wreath and Lily wanted to make a Autumn crown for queen Shadow 👑💕

What we used:

🍁 Hot glue gun
🍂 Dried Autumn Maple leaves
🍁 Sticks
🍂 Acorns
🍁 Twine

We dried our large leaves, pulled some apart to pick the stems off and use for our wreath and crown base

Using the stems of the leaves to create a circle which will be the base of our wreath

Used our trusty old hot glue gun to glue the leaves all the way around the circle of stems

Having a daughter who is so inlove with nature is great but it also means that nature often comes inside our home including the slimy crawly creeping things 😅

Last year Lily was playing in the lounge with her dollhouse and when I asked her from the kitchen what she was doing she said she was making her "snake" a bed I thought oh okay nodded my head and entertained her story (as you do as a mum) thinking it was in her imaginary play!

When I walked into the lounge I found her holding her dolls bed and seen something moving...

Kind of like a snow globe without the snow!

Anybody who knows me or used to work with me can tell you how much I LOVE glitter, I used to do craft with my residents when I was working and would leave trails of glitter all over the place 😬

But I didn't actually realise how bad glitter was for the environment and how those pretty sparkley teeny tiny bits of plastic would take years and years to decompose 🌏 but my love for glitter caught up with me and caught onto Lily so we searched and we brought some biodegradable...

Just a quick snap of the other things we made with the left over Sand Clay from our craft yesterday (see our sand Clay recipe in our previous post below if you missed it 👇😉)

We made a star fish, seahorse and some hearts to hang with twine from some driftwood we gathered on one of our beach trips! 🐚🌊

Lily loves making her prints in the sand at the beach so we made one that we can keep forever and one where Lily put the shells in to fill her hand print 💕

We are very lucky to have so many different birdies visiting our garden from cockatoos, galahs, butcher birds, honeyeaters, wattle birds, rainbow lorikeets, rosellas, carrawongs and kookaburras! 🏡
