Nature Craft
π ππΏ Simple Saturday Craft πΏππ
Having a daughter who is so I love with nature is great but it also means that nature often comes inside our home including the slimy crawly creeping things π
Last year Lily was playing in the lounge with her dollhouse and when I asked her from the kitchen what she was doing she said she was making her "snake" a bed I thought oh okay nodded my head and entertained her story (as you do as a mum) thinking it was in her imaginary play!
When I walked into the lounge I found her holding her dolls bed and seen something...
πΏπ Blueberry Lavender PlaydoughππΏ
Cleaning out the freezer the other day right down the back I found a bag of (veryπ) expired frozen blueberries!
Instead of throwing them away I'd heard that blueberries make a pretty purple nature dye and you don't even need many blueberries to make the dye at all (although ours was a huge bag full) π
We decided to make playdough and use the dye for this and here js the outcome of our blueberry dye this pretty purple playdough - we added some lavender too which made it a nice calming activity for Lil π

πΏπ¦ Craft Stamps π¦πΏ
If you've been following us for awhile you may remember our butterfly playdough stamps we made awhile ago π¦
We pulled them out again this morning and tried a bit of paint dipping in some watercolors and it worked a treat π
πΏ Stamps πΏ
Slices of tree branch (our neighbour was popping from tree branches from their gardening out on green waste so we asked if we could have some for some craft projects) π³
You can often find thick fallen branches like this anywhere π³
We sliced the branches into little discs perfect for Lily's little hands to grip β
Using our hot glue...
πΏ Muddy Craft πΏ
Β
A little dirt never hurt - Lily loves mud...
Muddy puddles, mud cakes, mud coffees, mud sliding, and making mud castles!Β
We made mud animals and candles!
Is anyone elses child obsessed with blowing out candles? π I think it reminds Lily of her favourite days which just so happen to be birthdays π
What we used:
πΏ Flowers from the garden
πΏ Twigs, bark, stones, feather for our deer tail
πΏ Dirt, flour, salt and water
Simply mix all these ingredients together we used a cup of salt, two cups of flour and Lily enjoyed rolling the rest in the mud!

πΏ Garden Fairies πΏ
These little garden fairies wewere so simple to make! π»πΏ
What we used:
πΏ Hot Glue gun
πΏ Fallen Banksia pods
πΏ Gumnuts
πΏ Sea shells
πΏ flowers for the halos and lips
πΏ Amethyst and Jade crystal chips for around the neck
It's as simple as gluing all your peices together! π
Instead of the crystal chips you could use small pebbles, more flowers or leave it as is we added the chips as we got a little too happy with the glue gun and needed to cover it up with something π
