🌷πŸ₯‘ Avocado Dye πŸ₯‘πŸŒ·

Lily loves Avo on toast πŸ₯‘πŸ€€
Who would have thought that the seed and skin of an avocado could make such a pretty dusty pink color! 🌷πŸ₯‘
We dyed a white pillow case we were given from someone who was giving it away - white anything and a toddler that LOVES dirt doesn't go hand in hand so we thought we'd test out some more natural dying ❀️
What we used:
πŸ₯‘ Avocado seed & skinΒ
πŸ₯‘ White pillow case
πŸ₯‘ Vinegar
πŸ₯‘ Old pot
If you caught our Dandelion apron we dyed a couple of weeks ago it is a very similar process to that except we used the avocado πŸ‘ŒπŸ₯‘
Boil water in a old pot (I say old pot as sometimes during the dying process your pot might stain. πŸ₯‘
Pop avocado seed and skin in your boiling pot (it doesn't matter if a bit of the avo goes in too 😜
Add a cup of vinegar to your water and avo and boil for about 15 minutes
Until your water turns a Reddy tinge like in our picture πŸ‘‡
Add your fabric into a bowl and pour your water over the fabric - soak for a few hours (we soaked this one all day mainly because I forgot about it πŸ€¦πŸ˜…) but look at the color it caught a beautiful dusty pink! πŸ₯‘
And that's it πŸ‘ŒπŸŒΏ
